So as of November we will be actively trying for baby number 2 for 1 full year. However, knowing our background on struggling to conceive we spoke with our previous doctors about getting into do some testing like we did before we had C. Unfortunately there was little help from them, for a few reasons. 1. I believe they think because we are only in our early twenty's they assume we don't need any help and 2. because we already have a child that we conceived naturally that we do not need anymore help from them until I am pregnant.
So after several recommendations we jumped the gun and took our plans to a different office with a wonderful and very helpful doctor. She was super open to helping us in anyway we felt was needed and in her exact words, "I'm open to do whatever you feel is necessary." How refreshing to have a doctor not be bias about our age or the fact that we need a little nudge to get the process going.
So first things first I had the lovely HSG test done on my 7th cycle day.
It was very ironic that we had this test done exactly 3 years to the month that we did it when trying with C. We luckily got pregnant with C in December, only 1 full month after the test.
However, both times there was no blockage noticed and uterus and ovary shapes all look excellent. So this is always a great plus.
So we are now on cycle day 14 with no positive ovulation predictor, but this is no issue since I usually ovulate anywhere from day 14-19. Wacky as it is that's a typical cycle for yours truly.
So lets see what this month has to hold and if we still have a let down it goes to having my lovely husband going in for his good ole' testing of his manly goods. Which by the way he will hate that I put that on here, but last testing he had some good swimmers.
Here's to hoping!
